Crypto Downturn Dents Bankrolls of Poker Pros

The decline of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in 2018 had a disastrous effect on many investors.

The top crypto coin reached a high of $20,000 in December 2017, only to come crashing down in 2018. Currently, Bitcoin is hovering around the $4,000 mark after flirting with $3,000 not long ago.

When investing in Bitcoin was a hot commodity, a number of professional poker players said good-bye to poker in order to concentrate on the virtual coin market. Will Jaffe wasn't among them, and had this to say on social media to his former poker colleagues who had sought greener pastures in the crypto market.

The jury's still out on whether Jaffe will get the last laugh as a number of so-called "experts" continue to tout Bitcoin and other virtual coins as a wise long-term investment.

Admittedly not an expert in the area of crypto coin investing is Dan Cates. The Jungleman never left the world of poker as others did, but is apparently perplexed about the path to take in the cryptocurrency market. Should he buy the dip in an attempt to negate the losses suffered from buying high? Hmmm ......
